Somerset Tour 2005 - 25th/26th June
Big Ed is in charge of this one. Sounds legendary. Wellies and cider head compulsary. Let Ed know if you can make it. Last one to sign up gets the sleeping bag nearest the drafty door in the village hall. Otherwise lodging with one of the buxom wenches Ed recommends. The plan:
Sat 25th June:
3PM: Arrive in Somerset to inspect the pitch and have short nets practice
6PM: Big Ed's 30th Birthday Barn Dance (details including accommodation below)
Sun 26th June:
The main event (time TBC): Mells Village CC v Strollers at Mells Cricket Club
Big Ed's 30th Birthday Barn Dance (message from Ed)
As you may well know I am about to turn 30 and want to have a celebratory bash to see off my 20s and welcome in the "golden years" of my 30s.
Please get 25/26th June in your diaries. I'm going to have a Barn Dance down in Somerset on the Saturday and I'd love it if you could make it down. There'll be dancing, hog roast, hay bails, scrumpy cider and Dad's home brew galore.
I can provide a list of local B&Bs (below) but if you don't mind roughing it a little there will be basic accommodation provided for all in the village hall.
For those living further away, I will be taking a few days off in advance and you are very welcome to come and stay in advance.
I will send out a proper invite nearer the time. All you have to do right now is decide whether you would like to come.
Please choose one of the following options before the end of February:
1. I will definitely be coming (I'm dusting off my barn dance boots)
2. I'm not sure (waiting for a better invite to something less rural)
3. I will not be coming (I can't stand thought of a barn dance with the pointy headed people of Somerset)
