Alex Finlow
An integral part of annual opponents St.John´s team, Alex was seduced to the Strollers by the lure and promise of more "extremely friendly" cricket and more opportunities to share post match ales and banter. He currently juggles his committments to both teams.
Has displayed typical Strollers enthusiasm by travelling to Brussels for his debut but his committment will be tested to the full, and maybe questioned, when St.Johns meet Strollers again later this summer. Can expect to receive similar treatment to Keven Pietersen in South Africa when he walks out to open the batting against his teammates though this will surely not however change Alex´s exuberant, cavalier attacking batting style.
Alex is also a useful bowler at this level having developed the cunning ability to bowl straight and at the wickets. A few Strollers could learn a thing or two from this trick. His nagging length and line means that inevitably batsmen swing and miss sooner or later. A connoiseur of fine ales with ridiculous names (e.g Old Tanglefoot.)
