Andy Morris
A fine cricketing brain, but this rarely translates into runs on the pitch. "Maurice", as he likes to be known, can talk about cricket for hours, and knows his stats. But there was not much else to do in Hull while he was growing up.
A very keen team player, ever willing to open if called upon, he has a decent range of atacking strokes (in the nets at least). The team strongly expect this skill to be translated into on-pitch glory, especially following his 2004 loan to the Sydney Strollers.
Andy's most renowned moment remains his contribution against the FCO in 2002. Opeing the batting, he paused briefly on his way to the middle to ask in his distinctive tones what the term was for someone out on the first ball of the innings. The Strollers scorers were pleased with the clarification, and duly entered "diamond duck" beside his name only seconds later.
