Giles Bolton
Giles brings the Strollers a much needed sense of refinement. An elegant stroke player, but inclined to lapses in concentration. He has managed to perfect the air of not trying too hard, but is always the first to check the scorebook at the end of the day.
While yet to attain the levels of his glory days (including his century for the Kigali Strollers), he has put in several priceless innings. Yet to hit a fifty, but claims he would have down in Cowden (2004) if his captain had not fooled him into thinking he had reached it when he was really on 49. His relaxed bowling style has yet to reap results, and his two wickets for 126 runs demonstrate his weakness when a batsman works him out (normally mid way through his first over). Missed much of the 2005 season but has turned down efforts by Crocker's Ex-Strollers to tap him up.
His place in the side is secure, not least because we hope his more talented brother will turn up in his place.
