John Fletcher
The fourth of the Fletcher clan to have appeared for the Strollers, John is guaranteed to bring entertainment to even the dullest game of cricket. A born entertainer, the enthusiasm and exuberance of his wicket celebrations have become legendary. John has a tendency to bowl a number of "looseners", having steamed in off a full run, before producing an unplayable ball out of nowhere to dismiss batsmen.
Can, however, be distracted somewhat in the field when not bowling, preferring to concentrate on a latest dance routine than the cricket. John has produced a number of cameo knocks in bat, putting Strollers part time bowlers to the sword on more than one occasion (in particular Doug McAndrew). A fierce competitor, few will forget the threats of revenge John issued Rob after he had made the mistake of bowling him, reminiscent of Devon Malcolm´s "You guys are history" comment v the South Africans.
Always a popular inclusion in any Strollers side, John is an inspiration to his teammates.
