Rick Bristow
His dedication to the Strollers cause resulted in the construction of this website, though cynics have suggested it was a desperate attempt to win more overs this season, and by his own admission, an early bid for the Player´s Player award he so publicly craves.
A "fiery", if at times erratic opening bowler, Bristow showed some signs he was returning to his best last season with some hostile though often wicketless displays. He is a capable lower order batsman although his cavalier approach, notorious weakness for cracking under pressure and proneness to "throwing his wicket away" has meant he has not scored the amount of runs he perhaps should have.
A useful fielder in the deep (particularly fine leg) with "a good arm", though fielders know they need to be on their toes backing up his throws. Extremely competitive, whatever the sport or activity, Rick is another player who has an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of his own career statistics.
